Using the Internet for Curr. Appl.

Intensive and engaging, this University of Delaware course presents students (generally Delaware educators) with the opportunity to explore the true infusion of technology into their existing curriculum.  Taken as a two week long Summer offering, or mini-miracle, course participants were asked to compare, contrast, research, develop, explore, and present educational technology information and instructional materials throughout each daily session.

Listservs and newsgroups were investigated and evaluated for their particular relevance as an appropriate instructional resource; participants also addressed age-appropriate concerns in addition to the development of an AUP (Acceptable Use Policy).  Search tools, image manipulation, evaluation tools, and HTML topics completed the class tutelage from instructor, Pat Sine.  As a culminating event, educators were required to to integrate their recently acquired technology concepts into an existing lesson as a Web Quest activity.

The hyperlink below provides a connection to my original 'Cheezie Inventions.'  Though a few links render expired pages, the instructional skeleton and teacher-generated pages remain current.  It is my intent to relocate or redevelop this particular website as an extension activity for students to complete 'outside' of the classroom.
