Educational Diagnosis

Educational Diagnosis addresses the need for teachers to conduct an informal assessment of students suspected of having a possible learning deficiency.  The study of formal test administration and interpretation in addition to the development of informal reading and mathematic assessments provided useful techniques for immediate deployment in the participant's classroom.  Focusing on the development of the Individualized Education Program (Plan), or IEP, for a particular Case Study fostered a greater awareness for lesson selection and construction, equity in the classroom, and alternate assessment techniques for fair and adequate evaluations.

Required Projects:

Case Study One - Administering an Informal Reading Assessment

Case Study Two - Formal Assessment of a Student

Interview - A Portrait of a School Psychologist
