The test administer's informal math assessment was developed specifically to locate possible difficulties in mathematical concepts that a student may experience while completing their Technology Education course of study in the Eight grade. MATH Pak Amusements involves the test subject with hands-on assessments (as in the manipulation of the K'NEX Carousel model, fairy floss and ice cream containers, and Mobius Strip) and informal observations that are not listed in the test's questions. Specific areas addressed, but not limited to were the following: Geometry, Standard Measurement and Story Problems. In the MATH Pak Amusement Park, the student tours a fictitious Amusement or Theme Park where the mathematical concepts are imbedded within the experience. The assessment has been designed to permit the examiner to 'skip around' depending upon the test subject's responses, or to utilize the test's Content Focus Summary (see below) to tailor specific problem areas.
